An old fashioned clothes shop, Cambridge, Summer 2004.

I was, of course, drawn by the little man in his y-fronts. This shop has closed down since I took the photograph this summer.

Taken with Lubitel 166B on Fuji Velvia.

Craft Market Scarves

Hand knitted scarves at the Sunday Craft Fair in Cambridge.

I snapped these scarves while I was doing my City and Guilds photography course. The owner of them became very irate and claimed that I was only taking the photograph so that I could steal her scarf ideas. She was only mollified when I showed her my note book where I had been taking down the details (shutter speed, stop etc.).

New York Changing

New York Changing

Douglas Levere has recreated the photographs in Berenice Abbotts Changing New York(1935-1939). There is a gap of 60 years between the sets of photographs. Whats amazing is not how much has changed but how much has stayed the same.
