Pomegranate

Pomegranate, February 2005.

This was one of my first shots with the new macro lens. What a fabulous toy. The shot was handheld so I was very surprised that it came out as well as it did.

Internal Mail

St Johns College, Cambridge, 2004

Big grain! I played around with a roll of ISO3200 speed film. This is one of the shots I took. Its great to be able to hand hold in low light.

St Johns College

I love this space in Johns. It is one of the most wonderful places in all of the colleges. The light pours through the windows on to the old, old stone.

Coat

I was actually hunting for a coat to buy when I saw this coat in the window of Hobbs. And I suspect I may have taken the photograph as an aid memoire so that I would remember where I had seen it.

This is not the coat I bought. Though now I wonder why.

Heroes

Graffiti, Shoreditch, 2004.

Very, very small

I have a new toy, a Tamron 90mm 1:1 macro lens.

I'm going visiting this weekend so I won't have as much time to play with it as I would like but I'm hoping to get a test roll out of it anyway.

I need to make a list of subjects:
the obvious food
my pink feathery handbag (thanks mum)
pores
cats (my inlaws cats are very old, hopefully they'll be inclined to stay still)
.....

The Way We See it

The Way We See it looks like it might be an interesting project. A place in London is selected every week, photographers, independently, go and take pictures of it and then post their photos on the website.

Perhaps I'll take part if they ever pick somewhere further east.

Original

Graffeti, London, 2003.

I did hope I might find a clump of sprayed 'Original'. It would have made for a more interesting shot. But there was only the original 'Original'.
