Late at night in my Mum's house casting around for something for the daily photo I found this frame near a lamp.

Great St. Mary's (Day 7)

This church stands overlooking Kings College in Cambridge. There was lovely light at about half four this afternoon. Unfortunately the buildings blocked most of it so that it only fell on the very top of the tower. I've tried to make the most of a rather disappointing shot by converting to black and white and upping the contrast.

I would have liked to have gone round to the other side of Kings to see if the light was illuminating the college along the Backs but time and the buggy were conspiring against me.

Twists (Day 6)

I took the camera with me this morning to drop Alex off at nursery. I thought there was bound to be some nice snowy shots but in the end this was the only thing I saw. I like the lines and the lack of colour.

Big Hands (Day 5)

The shadow behind my little statue is way too harsh but this last minute shot isn't as bad as I feared it would be.

I love this statue. Alex and Ian bought it for my birthday last year. She has huge feet.

Ex Scott (Day 4)

Again a late in the day shot. As luck would have it Alex had made biscuits earlier in the day with the new letter cutters. And her name is the only thing she can nearly spell. She ate the A as soon they had cooled from the oven. The L went as a treat (oh, ok a bribe) for getting into her pjs with no fuss.

It looks threatening to me. As though Ian had really annoyed the biscuit mafia.

Floorboards (Day 3)

The end of the day was drawing close and yet I still hadn't taken a photo. Expect a lot of these sort of almost abstract pattern shots taken at the last minute before bedtime.

These are our floorboards. When we took the carpets up they were covered in some sort of gluey tar (or possibly tarry glue).

A Photo A Day

One of these days there will be time in abundance for messing round with cameras and photos. Until those days I am just going to try to take at least one photo a day and post it here. Most of my time I am accompanied by two small people. Expect a lot of photos of them. It is unlikely to be art. But it'll be something.
