Cruggs

Mammoth Crocs, originally uploaded by sabor.tijuana.

Mum! Its a good thing you didn't buy any Crocs here in Cambridge. You would have missed the opportunity to get the winter version :-)

Is the UK facing a slug plague?

Funny they should mention slugs. We did see a lot in Sunderland.

Wide open spaces

Both photos taken from the kitchen door ....

Sunderland

We had a lovely time in Sunderland. Ellie is just a fabulous baby - beautiful and good.

Alex was a great traveller and had a great time in the parks. There were lots of seagulls and pigeons for her to chase which made her very happy and tired her out which made me very happy.

There are some photos of the trip here.

Adam and Kinga's Wedding

If you want to see all the photos we took (thank you the other Ian for taking so many lovely ones at the church) they are available here.

They haven't been edited except to remove a couple that were completely out of focus so there is some repetition and quite a few of them are of Alex.

Sunny Sunday

The weather here was lovely today. Well, perhaps it was a bit too hot. But given that we've spent the last two months complaining about the rain I don't think I'll complain about the sun!

We spent lunch time in the Cambridge Blue with Suzanna, Richard and Joe. There are more photos of Alex and Joe toddling round the garden here.

Later in the day we took Alex to the paddling pool in Coleridge Rec. where we bumped into Jane, David and Imogen. More photos of the paddling pool.

Competitive Parenting

We were down at the paddling pool in the park this evening. This little girl was training for a triathalon! Some parents are very competitive.

Shepreth Wildlift Park

We went to Shepreth Wildlife Park this afternoon. We had a lovely time. Alex was as interested in the ducks as she was in the tigers but never mind. The weather was fabulous and fun was had.

More Walking

Doors

There are no closed doors any more in our house. Today Alex opened her first closed door. Nowhere will be safe.

Door handles

Today Alex can reach the door handles. The world is very nearly her oyster.

Also today she can climb onto the rocking chair and wants to put her own socks on. She is good at climbing but it will be a good while before the sock thing is a success! She has also learnt to throw nappy bags into the bin. Perhaps she'll be the tidy and organised one in the family.

Boley Fair

The weather was terrible for the Boley Fair this year. The programme was packed full of things to go too much of it was washed out by the rain. We did go to the Farmers Market were we had lovely pancakes and also to the Fun Fair.

Here are some photos of the Fun Fair.
