I Get a Stone

I'm sure she had a reason for bringing it to me. I just wish I knew what it was.

Her Own Wheels

Alex on her new scooter and discovering, by running into my feet, that I have no shoes on.

There are more scooter vids here and here.

Financial Acumen

First we must organise the money neatly.

And then stash it all away in our pockets.

Alex wants to be a vet. So we bought her a vet's kit for Christmas. I'm not sure what she is doing here. Perhaps someone should tell her that docking dogs tails is illegal!

Jingle Bells

Jingle Bells is currently one of Alex's favourite songs. We bought her a little keyboard with an attached microphone. We have heard the Alex Scott remix of Jingle Bells many times this Christmas.

Icing the Christmas Cake

Alex and I made the Christmas cake a while ago. All that was left was to ice it.

Dad's Xmas Visit

Dad came over before Christmas to see us all before the festivities took over. Alex kept us all entertained.

Christmas Colours

Some people have a colour scheme for their Christmas decorations. Alex is one of them. This year she has painted all her Christmas cards with a limited palette. Yes, this year the colours of Christmas are navy and mud brown.

Party Frock

We went to the Patacakes Christmas party this afternoon. A good excuse to wear a party dress. Alex even wanted me to wear my party dress but sadly when we looked in my wardrobe we couldn't find a single frock that had a big net petticoat. How can I have possibly managed without one.

How Mazes Work

Alex fails to get the point.

Things Stephanie Can Do

She is very good at sticking her tongue out and waving her arms. I'm sure there must be a career that requires those skills.

Lesson Two

Making Christmas cake is very, very messy. Perhaps wisest not to do it just after the kitchen floor was washed.

Lesson One

It doesn't matter if there is a minor disaster at the other end of the kitchen - don't leave Alex alone with her cup of "tea" and a bag of mini marshmallows for an instance.

Teenagers Already

Look, I really, really don't want to sound like I'm complaining about this. After all I've slept until ten past seven, had a cup of tea, made a packed lunch and have time to faff on the computer. But when are those girls going to wake up! Don't they know we have things to do, people to see!

And yes, ten past seven is a lie in. Scary.

Right time to go. I need to get us all dressed and out of here by quarter past eight. Good thing I have a secret weapon in the war to get Alex dressed - The sparkly Santa's little helper t-shirt and the sparkly shrug. It is a bit early to be wearing the reindeer t-shirt but there you go.
